Abstract

PURPOSE: To bend a bar material easily and make possible the disposition of cold press-forming processes before and behind the bending by inserting the bar material into a die and moving the die and punch relatively in the direction crossing the axial line of the bar material in a manner as to produce a positional difference.
CONSTITUTION: A bar material 1 having a bulged head part 3 is inserted into the insertion hole 71 of the die 7 of a die 9. When the material 1 is pressed with a punch 8, a slider 72 retreats until it is stopped by a knockout 101. The material 1 is press-formed to the shape of the insertion hole 71 by the pressing force of the punch 8. The pressing force of the punch 8 is applied to the die 7 by way of the material 1 and the slider 72, so that the die 7 moves obliquely along a sloped part 73 is an axially crossing direction against the force of a spring means 93.
