Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a lubricant for hot forging which is excellent in workability such as lubricity and releasing property and is free of environmental pollution, by dispersing a synthetic laminar substance, an oxide, and an adhesive.
CONSTITUTION: A mixture of 10W80% synthetic laminar substance, 0W50% montmorillonite, 10W80% oxide, and 30% or less inorganic or organic adhesive is dispersed in a proportion of 6W10% in water. The metal oxide used includes zinc oxide, boron dioxide, bismuth dioxide, and lead monoxide. And, a dispersant is further added to the said dispersion obtained in order to obtain a lubricant having good fluidity and high concentration. The dispersant used includes phosphates, oxalates, etc., and its preferred mixing ratio is 20% or less. Also, to raise the releasing property, a water-souble organic substance gasifiable at 150W350°C may be added.
