Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve high-accuracy detection and determination, by executing determination of behavior of fluid by laser radiation and detection while cleaning wall surface of a detecting section at the same time. CONSTITUTION:Water in an object being detected is made to flow in a pipe 1. The water flows through a detection section 2 which is composed of a light-permeable material, and laser is radiated here by a radiating device 3. The laser light is radiated in such a manner as if it were to be gathered to the center of the detecting section 2 by a lens 5. The radiated light hits aquatic microbe and it is reflected, dispersed and permeated. Output of a detecting unit 8 is amplified by n amplifier 9 and determined by a determining circuit 10. Result of determination is indicated by an indicating circuit 11.
