Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the device with small size and good in mass-productivity, by applying the output of an electric driving circuit to the crossing finger electrode provided with a piezoelectric substrate. CONSTITUTION:The device consists of a piezoelectric substrate 41, crossing finger electrode 42 to excite the elastic waves made with photolithography on the substrate 41, and crossing finger electrode 43 to which high-frequency voltage is fed. When an incident light 44 is given to the substrate 41, diffraction is caused through mutual operation between the incident light 44 and the elastic wave excited with the crossing finger electrode 42, and the incident light 44 is emitted as the diffracted light 46 through polarization toward y axis. When the frequency of the electric drive circuit 48 applied to the crossing finger electrode 42 is changed, the angle of the diffracted light 46 can be changed. Further, by changing the high-frequency output voltage of the electric driving circuit 49, the angle of the diffracted light 47 can be changed.
