Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable smooth frame matching in reproducing a track after a tape stops, by controlling the pulse width of a head motor driving pulse shaping circuit with a noise shaped pulse. CONSTITUTION:Driving pulse shaping circuit 22 driving motor 24 generates driving pulses by receiving head change-over pulses from input terminal 21. Noise shaping circuit 26, on the other hand, generates noise shaped pulses of a preset width by receiving noises from input terminal 25. Noise shaped pulses are inputted to the pulse width control terminal of driving pulse shaping circuit 22 and motor 24 is controlled with the driving pulses that correspond to the phase shift between the noise shaped pulses and driving pulses. Thus, accurate frame matching can be done without adjusting the pulse width.
