Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent uneven flaw detection and overlapping flaw detection, by using the characteristic of the peripheral speed limit rotation frequency to control the rotation frequency and the carrying speed of the rotating mechanism part. CONSTITUTION:The outside diameter of the steel pipe to be checked, the limit rotation frequency of the rotating mechanism part, the flaw detection pulse transmission repeat frequency from the probe which performs scanning spirally, the transmission timing of said flaw detection pulse, and the ratio of the circumference to the diameter are set by numeric set switches 9-14. Peripheral speed operator 13 operates the limit peripheral speed, and function generator 15 obtains the peripheral speed limit rotation frequency to calculate the rotation frequency corresponding to the set value of switch 9. The output of the function generator is inputted not only to rotation frequency control circuit 17 through acceleration and deceleration controller 16 but also to speed operator 22. Rotation frequency control circuit 17 drives the first motor 18 to rotate the rotating mechanism part. Speed operator 22 multiplies the set value of switch 21 and the output of function generator 15 to output the carrying speed signal to display equipment 23 and carrying speed control circuit 24. Carrying speed control circuit 24 drives the second motor 25 to rotate the driving roller of carrying mechanism 26.
