Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the finishing accuracy of product, and to greatly reduce the number of repetition of the intermediate annealing pass, by arranging plural couples of unit roller dies, respectively comprising a couple of die rollers possessing calibers opposed to each other, so as to be placed in order with a phase by of a specified angle and to be located as near as possible each other.
CONSTITUTION: For reducing the diameter of metarial hard to work such as the copper alloy, the aluminum alloy, various kinds of composite wires, the superconductive wire, the unit roller dies 1W6, respectively comprising a couple of die rollers possessing calibers facing each other, and placed in order as near as possible each other with a phase lag of about 90°. The packings 8 are interposed into the clearance between adjoining ones of roller dies 1W6 and are fixed by the stay bolts 7 so as to be aligned on the straight lines parallel to the drawing line. By the present constitution, the relative position of unit roller dies 1W6 can be simply adjusted, a high reduction of area and a high accuracy of the product can be obtained, and the whole of the apparatus can be made compact.
