Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the titled compound useful as a crosslinking agent, an intermediate for various copolymer, etc. in high yield, by heating a readily obtainable hexaorganodisilane and a conjugated diene compound in a specific molar ratio in the presence of a catalytic amount of 0-valent palladium complex.
CONSTITUTION: 1mol Hexaorganodisilane shown by the formula I (R1 is monofunctional hydrocarbon group) and not less than 1.5mol conjugated diene compound shown by the formula II (R2 and R3 are monofunctional group selected from the group consisting of H and alkyl) are heated in the presence of a catalytic amount of 0-valent palladium complex shown by the formula Pd(PR3 4)4, (R4 is monofunctional hydrocarbon group), to give a bissilylated oligomer shown by the formula III (n is 2W10). Butadine and isoprene are readily obtainable and preferable as the conjugated diene compound. The titled compound is obtained in higher yield by using a divalent palladium complex.
