Abstract

PURPOSE:To keep the operation of a blade excellent over a long period by shaping the leading edge of the blade which comes into contact with a body of revolution so that its center part will project. CONSTITUTION:Fixation roller 1 has metallic hollow cylinder 2 coated with silicone rubber 3 as a release material, and pressure roller 4 has metallic hollow mandrel 5 coated with ethylene tetrafluoride resin as a release material and contains heat source 7 internally. Both rollers 1 and 4 rotate as shown by the arrows while coming in pressure contact with each other. Heating roller 8 heats the surface of fixation roller 1 at a toner image fusion temperature and has heat source 9 internally. The surface temperature of fixation roller 1 is detected by temperature detecting element 10 and controlled into a prescribed range. Toner and paper powder sticking to the surface of fixation roller 1 can be removed by blade 12, and the operation of blade 12 can be kept excellent for a long period by forming the leading edge of blade 12 so that the center part will be higher as shown by the figure, for example.
