Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform light reproduction, oscillation, etc., without using an electric signal generator, by constituting properly and arranging an electro-optical bistable circuit. CONSTITUTION:Laser beam 10 is caused to strike polarizer 1 and through optical phase plate 2, electro-optical crystal 3, analyzer 4, and beam splitters 5 and 5', output light 11 is obtained. Then, part of the output light of analyzer 4 is split by beam splitters 5 and 5' and both split light beams are detected by photodetectors 6 and 6', whose detection electric signals are supplied to the positive-side and negative-side input terminals of differential amplifier 7 via the time constant circuits consisting of resistances 8 and 8', and capacitors 9 and 9'. Further, its output is applied to electro-optical crystal 3. As a result, reproduced oscillation light can be obtained as light output 11 by adequately adjusting the optical phase difference of optical phase plate 2, the ratio between two detection electric signals, the amplification factor of amplifier 7, or the intensity of incident light 10.
