Abstract
PURPOSE: To fabricate and assemble a cylindrical structure without using a scaffolding safely and easily by preparing an annular supporting member on top of a twin-fuselage hollow barast container of a circular arc plan view and piling up cylindrical structures while the container is lowered successively in a cylindrical ditch.
CONSTITUTION: An annular supporting member 2 is disposed on top of a twin- fuselage hollow barast container A of a circular arc plan view. Cylindrical structures C, such as steel plate cells for a bulkhead, are piled on the container while the container is gradually lowered in a cylindrical ditch by supplying water into and draining water from the container. After the assembling has been completed, the hollow barast container A and the entire structure are made to float in the ditch and transferred to the sea through a parallel ditch connecting to the annular ditch. Thus the structure can safely and easily be assembled without constructing a large scaffolding.
