Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a stoichiometry porcelain by adding less than 10wt% of mixtures of PbO and PbF2 as a lowering agent of sintering temperature after calcination of raw porcelain materials of Zircon. lead titanate group, thereby restraining the vaporization of Pb. CONSTITUTION:After weighing and mixing powders of PbO, ZrO2 and TiO2 as component raw materials so as to be Pb(Zr0.52Ti0.48)O3, said raw materials are calcined at 800 deg.C for 2hr. Then, powders of PbO and PbF2 having a ratio of 54:46 are added and mixed to said component raw materials by 0.2-10wt% thereof, and is subjected to a press formation. The forming body can be sintered at low temperature of 800 deg.C (less than fusing point of PbO) approximately for 4hr. Both surfaces of a disc plate thus obtained are polished and an Au-electrode is vapor deposited thereon. Finally, when the polarization treatment is performed applying a given D.C. electric field, a piezoelectric porcelain having a large electromechanical latching constant with respect to the vibration in the diameter direction is obtained.
