Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the structure of the cooling system which cools compressed air from a compressor of an engine with a supercharger by generating the cooling air by an air turbine driven by the compressed air.
CONSTITUTION: Air compressed by a compressor 2b of a supercharger 2 is conducted to an engine 1 through an air tube 2h, a cooler 5, and a charging tube 1a. Above the air tube 2h behind the cooler 5, an air turbine 3 which is driven by the compressed air is provided. Said turbine 3 is connected with a blower 4, through a driving shaft 3a, which conducts air to be compressed by the blower 4 into the cooler 5 to cool the compressed air that flows through the air tube 2h.
