Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent an abnormal rise in temperature of a roll surface in the axis direction of internal lamps, by axially arraying those lamps nealy in a line. CONSTITUTION:In cylindrical body 13 of heating fixation roll 10, the 1st and 2nd storage rooms 151 and 152 are formed; while the 1st lamp 161 is inserted into room 151, the 2nd lamp 162 is also inserted into room 152, and both end opening parts are closed by fixed plates 17 and 17. Respective power sources for those lamps are controlled independently according to the detected temperatures of the 1st and 2nd temperature sensors 221 and 222 sliding on axial intermediate part positions of the 1st and 2nd lamps 161 and 162. Then, a form of size B5 is positioned at one end side 10' of fixation roll 10 and fixed continuously, so that an abnormal rise in temperature will occur at the other end side 10''. Consequently, the 2nd temperature sensor 222 detects the abnormal temperature and the 2nd lamp 162 turns off.
