Abstract

PURPOSE:To impart slip property to a surface of an article, by forming a coating on the surface of said article by coating a reaction product obtained by reacting a polydiorganosiloxane having a silanol group and a reaction product of a silane having an amino group and a silane containing an epoxy group. CONSTITUTION:80-99.9wt% polyorganosiloxane (A) having one or more of a silanol group [viscosity (25 deg.C); 200,000-1,00,000cst] and 0.1-20wt% reaction product (B) of a silane containing an amino group shown by the formula I (wherein Q' is H, -CH3, the formula II, the formula III; R' is an 1-4C divalent hydrocarbon group; R<2>, R<3> are 1-4C monovalent hydrocarbon group; a is 0 or 1) and a silane containing an epoxy group shown by the formula IV (wherein Q<2> is glycidoxy, epoxycyclohexyl; R<4> is a 2-4C divalent hydrocarbon group; b is 0 or 1) are reacted. Subsequently, the obtained composition is diluted with an inert solvent to a concn. of about 10wt% and the resulting diluted composition is coated on a surface of an article and, thereafter, the solvent is volatilized to form a slip coating.
