Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a slow release composition having arbitrary releasing property over a period of time from short time to long time, by a method in which a water- soluble substance is dispersed in shellac resin and then crushed into a specific grain size.
CONSTITUTION: 40W99.9wt% shellac resin (A) of a softening point of 70W75°C, 0.1W60wt% water-soluble substance (B), e.g., Na salt of amino acid or vitamine C, etc., and 0W40wt% plasticizer, e.g., stearic acid, castor oil, etc., are mixed together at a temperature above the softening point of the component (A), subjected to a heat treatment at 50W140°C for 5minW20hr as needed to harden the component (A), and then crushed into a grain size of 5W5,000μ.
EFFECT: The composition can be safely stored for long time over one year without being affected by light, moisture, oxygen, etc.
USE: Insecticide, medicine, fungicide, etc.
