Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve recording efficiency by making it possible to reduce the gap length of a disk at its outer circumference, by varying the timing of erasing operation by making the delay time of the disk different between its outer and inner circumferences. CONSTITUTION:When write enable signal (a) is supplied and a timing selective signal is at the high level, monostable multivibrators 14 and 15 generate outputs (b) and (c) respectively. These are supplied to OR circuit 18, whose output (d) is sent to exclusive OR circuit 19, which generates output (e) turning on in time t3. This signal is supplied as an erasure signal to driving circuit 21 via buffer circuit 20. When the timing signal is at the low level, monostable multivibrators 16 and 17 generate outputs (f) and (g), OR circuit 18 generates output (h), and exclusive OR circuit generates output (i) turning on in time t6. Those two erasure signals are alternated at the outer and inner circumferences of the disk to reduce the gap length at the outer circumference, improving the recording efficiency.
