Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the workability of inspection by intermittently energizing an electromagnet and enabling a contactor to be moved easily during the period while the energizing is held stopped. CONSTITUTION:The measuring device using electromagnetic ultransonic wave has an electromagnet iron core 1, its energizing coil 2 and a contactor 7 consisting of a ratio transmitting-receiving coil 3, and generates ultasonic waves by applying magnetic fields to the material 6 to be examined by energizing the coil 2 and generating eddy current in the material 6 by means of these and the pulse current to be applied to the coil 3. At this time, the power source 4 for the coil 2 is so controlled as to make intermittent energizing by providing a timing control circuit 17 to the circuits which input the output of a current detector 13 and a setting circuit 15 to an operational amplifier 16 and control a thristor circuit 12 with an automatic pulse-shifting circuit 18. Hence, the contractor 7 is moved easily during measurment and the workability is improved considerably.
