Abstract

PURPOSE:To construct a membrane side wall for a tank simply and efficiently by vertically hanging membrane pieces manufactured at the bottom of the tank near the tank side wall and welding to each other successively. CONSTITUTION:Membrane pieces 6 are manufactured from a coiled-up steel strip at the bottom of a tank 2. They are vertically hung from a roof 4 near a tank side wall, and welded to each other successively. This method permits to construct a membrane side wall 1 simply and efficiently by making use of a space inside the tank.
