Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide an oil-contg. lubricating material which is light, has low volatility and retains lubricating performance over a long period of time, by a method wherein a specified polyol ester is added to a poly-alpha-olefin to produce a lubricating oil compsn., the compsn. and a plastic powder are melt-kneaded together, and the mixt. is molded. CONSTITUTION:0.2-0.5pts.vol. polyol ester derived from a 16-18C linear monocarboxylic acid and pentaerythritol, is added to 1pt.vol. poly-alpha-olefin of the formula (wherein R is C8H17; n is 1-6) to obtain a lubricating oil compsn. The compsn. and a plastic powder are melt-kneaded together. The mixt. is molded into the desired shape. EFFECT:There can be obtd. an oil-contg. lubricating material which is light (its viscosity being 20-30 cst at 40 deg.C), has low friction coefficient, high viscosity index and a uniformly high oil content and in which change in viscosity with temperature is small. USE:Bearings for light machines such as sewing machines.
