Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the damaging of a photoreceptor drum with simple constitution, by controlling the contact between the photoreceptor drum and a transfer drum with a spacer projecting more than a transfer-paper gripping clamper. CONSTITUTION:Transfer 19 is provided with spacer 23 projecting more than clamper 20 for transfer paper S and while transfer is not performed with spacer 23 in contact with photoreceptor drum 18, the moving center shaft moves relatively to one fixed center shaft between drums 18 and 19, so that clamper 20 will never come into contact with drum 18. This simple constitution prevents securely the damaging of the photoreceptor drum due to the clamper.
