Abstract

PURPOSE: To treat dredged earth stably with an even strength for a short time without any special device by mixing a stably treating agent into a sludgelike viscous soil dredged from the sea, a river, a lake or the like in transit to solidify the soil.
CONSTITUTION: Earth excavated with a cutter 7 is sucked up with water through suction pipes 4 and 5 with a pump 3 driven by an engine 2. When the load of an engine varies with changes in the amount of earth in water, a governer 25 works to maintain the rotational frequency of the engine 2. The load variation is detected with a sensor 24 and a signal is transmitted to a control device which provides a signal proportional to the amount of earth sucked to a control valve 11. This automatically opens or closes the valve to control the injection of an agent for stably treating slurrylike soil. The agent fed is mixed with earth in the pump 3 and a discharge pipe 6 and discharge over the reclaimed land. The earth is settled and solidified by the action of the soil stably treating agent.
