Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve fixing performance and durability by forming as the outermost layer of a fixing rubber roller a cured layer of a composite of methyl vinyl silicone of large grain size and small grain size, organohydrodiene polysiloxane, a platinum type catalyst, and an inorganic filling. CONSTITUTION:To obtain the outermost layer of the fixing rubber roller of an electrophotographic copying machine, etc., a composite containing 100pts.wt. methyl vinyl silicone of >=100,000 centistokes (cst) in grain size at 25 deg.C, 100-500pts.wt. methyl vinyl silicone of 10-10,000cst in grain size, 2pts.wt. methyl hydrodiene polysiloxane of 20cst, a 5-100ppm Pt in a platinum catalyst to the sum of both the kinds of methyl vinyl silicone, and a 5-100pts.wt. inorganic filling such as fumed silica to total 100pts.wt. silicone rubber is applied and then cured by being heated. Consequently, an offset phenomenon of toner is prevented without using a release agent and printed matter free from unevenness in fixation can be obtained.
