Abstract
PURPOSE:To make an antenna track securely even a flying body nearly at the zenith, by making an electric antenna axis independent of a mechanical antenna axis when the flying body stays within a prescribed range including the zenith. CONSTITUTION:Normally, primary radiator 2 is installed on main reflex mirror 1 so that electric antenna axis 10 may be agreed with mechanical antenna axis 9. As a satellite moves from the zenith to point A in a prescribed range, azimuth angle detector 19 and elevation angle detector 20 detect the position of this satellite and then send a control signal to X and Y-directional drive control circuits 22 and 23 for driving primary radiator 2 via change-over circuit 14, and then driving mechanism 11 is driven to track the satellite with electric axis 10 independent of mechanical axis 9. When the satellite reaches point B, control mechanism change-over circuit 14 makes electric axis 10 and mechanical axis 9 agrees with each other again to direct the antenna to the satellite. This constitution enables the antenna to track securely even when a flying body is nearly at the zenith.
