Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate an easy input operation and at the same time reduce the retrieving time for an information retrieving device containing an information recorded on a disk, by recording not only the retrieval subject item code but the relative item code showing other relating items. CONSTITUTION:When input of the retrieving subject item with operation of an input key, the item code 6 on the headline track 5 is picked up by the laser. The track 5 is provided at the inner circumference part of the disk 1. Then the headline unit synchronous with the supplied item is detected to read the track number code 7 and the relative item code 8. The pickup 3 is made to jump to the corresponding information recording track 2 based on the code 7 given from the read- out code 8, and then a coincidence is decided between the track number code of an information unit recorded on the track 2 and the code 7 stored in the track 5. When a coincidence is obtained, the contents of one information unit is displayed to the picture tube 4. If no coincidence is obtained, the pickup 3 is shifted by the differential amount of the track number. Then the decision is continued until a coincidence is obtained.
