Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the manual differential pressure set switching operation needless, by constituting a unit so that a pressure difference proper to flow rate measurement may be operated and set continuously for measured voids. CONSTITUTION:Differential pressure DELTAP between upper and lower ends of powder material sample 4 put in sample cell 1 is measured, and the electric signal indicating the measured value is fed back to servo amplifier 16. This feedback signal is compared with the set signal of proper differential pressure DELTAP0 which is input to servo amplifier 16 from differential pressure operation set circuit 21 previously, and air is fed to sample cell 1 until they agree with each other, and thus, control is so performed that DELTAP may agree with set proper differential pressure DELTAP0, and the value of this differential pressure DELTAP0 is input to operator 22 through differential pressure gauge 13. Simultaneously, the passage air quantity per one second of this differential pressure DELTAP0 is input to operator 22 from flow meter 12 as an electric signal also, thus obtaining a specific surface area diameter. In this manner, the manual differential pressure set switching operation can be needless.
