Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent pollution by making blowing-out operation while maintaining a specific furnace top pressure without releasing blast furnace gas to the atmosphere till just before blowing out. CONSTITUTION:The gas generated from a blast furnace 1 is recovered into a gas holder by way of a series of treating devices of an ascending pipe 2, a descending pipe 3, a dry dust remover 4, a wet dust remover 5, and a water sealed valve 6 for preventing backflow of gas. At this time, a feeder of gaseous nitrogen 8 is newly provided, and the blowing-out is carried out while feeding a gaseous nitrogen to the furnace top part via a blast pipe 9 and controlling the furnace top pressure in the range defined by a 0.3-3kg/cm<2>. Therefore, the flow of the gas in the furnace stabilizes and the blast furnace gas is recovered into the gas holder till just before the blowing-out.
