Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the titled device which protects a high voltage power source, prevents a printing quality from degrade and issues an alarm by a method wherein when a voltage is generated across both terminals of a resistor connected for protecting a voltage power source because of a leak current, a high voltage power source is interrupted. CONSTITUTION:When an insulating resistance between deflection electrodes 3a and 3b lowers and a leak current increases, a voltage is generated across both terminals of a resistor 1, and when this voltage is compared with a reference voltage Vo through a voltage comparator 10 and if it exceeds the reference voltage Vo, a signal is outputted. This signal passes through an inverter 11 and enters a terminal S of a flip-flop circuit 12 and makes an output terminal Q high level. And then, a transistor 13 is plced in continuity state and a transistor 4 is turned OFF and a circuit including deflection electrodes 3a, 3b and a high voltage power source is interrupted. If an alarm circuit ALM is being connected to a terminal Q bar of the flip-flop 12, the interruption of the high voltage source 2 can be known.
