Abstract
PURPOSE:to evade restrictions on the position of a device without any need to supply electric power to a temperature sensor part, by detecting temperatue by a temperature-sensing optical element and by sending its detection signal to a central controller via an optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:At the end of optical fiber 14, temperature-sensing optical element 16 of a temperature-sensitive optical agent is arranged. Through optical window 13 connected to one end part of optical fiber 14, light is incident from projector 11. This light is supplied to temperature-sensing optical element 16 which changes the color of light corresponding to fluctuations of temperature to output color-changed light. This output light enters optical window 13 via optical fiber 14 and is further inputted to translucent device 12. The light reflected by this translucent device 12 is inputted to photodetector 15 to measure the temperature. Consequently, this device can be utilized easily without limiting the position of the temperature sensor part and supplying electric power from central controller 10.
