Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce a shock to an article in a device for discharging the article on a conveyer sideward with a transfer tool, by such constitution that the transfer tool is almost parallelly moved to a direction of conveyance at the beginning of its movement and then the article is diagonally moved in a direction of discharge.
CONSTITUTION: A longitudinally intermediate part of a transfer tool 3 is pivotally linked to the floating end part of an arm member 10 swingable about the support point of a down side position in a direction of article conveyance from a driving gear 6. When an objective discharge article 2 is detected for reaching a point (a) on a route of conveyance, the transfer tool 3 is moved successively from a position X to (A), (B), (C)... with the resultant motion of a driving rotary member 7 and arm member 10 by the driving gear 6. A transfer face 3a is parallelly moved to a direction of article conveyance till a down side end part of the transfer tool 3 reaches the positions (A), (B), (C), and then moved in such a manner that the more down side of the transfer face 3a in a direction of article conveyance is more leading in a direction of article discharge, thus the objective article 2 is pushed out to a chute 4 and discharged. In this way the article forcibly conveyed by a conveyer can be discharged sideward at a required place in the route of its conveyance without causing an unreasonable shock and damage to the article.
