Abstract
PURPOSE: To allow the mechanism to operate as rigid body for the repulsive force in the opposite direction to a propulsive force by allowing a spring torque to operate in the direction of revolution onto one of the shafts which are screwed each other an d providing a propulsive force onto the other shaft through the screwed part described above.
CONSTITUTION: When the mechanism is applied to a chain tensioner, a cap 11 and a stopper 10 are removed, and working tools are inserted into a slit groove 4a, and a shaft 2 is compulsorily revolved in the direction of fastening a spring 7, then a shaft 8 is shifted in the (b) direction through the head part 3 of the shaft 2 and the screwed part of the shaft 8. In this state, the stopper 10 and the cap 11 are fitted again, and set at the prescribed position and used. Then, when the stopper 10 is removed, the shaft 2 is revolution-energized in the direction of returning by the initial torque action of the spring 7, and a propulsive force in a fixed direction is provided to the shaft 8 through the screwed part. The mechanism operates so as to provide a constant tension to the chain, due to said force.
