Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the unexpected starting of a motorcycle, by keeping a starting motor from acting, even if a starting switch is closed, as long as a motive power transmission line is connected.
CONSTITUTION: Despite the setting-up and putting-aside of a side stand, a clutch switch 6 and a neutral switch 7 remain open when a motive power transmission line is connected, namely, a clutch is engaged and a transmission is in a non-neutral state. For that reason, neither a relay 5 nor a starting motor 12 operate even if a starting switch 11 is closed by mistake. When the motive power transmission line is disconnected, one of the clutch switch 6 and the neutral switch 7 is closed so that the relay 5 operates and its normally open contact 5a is closed. As a result, the starting motor 12 operates when the starting switch 11 is closed.
