Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve precision in size and to get a roll with little demagnetization making magnetically homogeneous by a process wherein when manufacturing a magnetic roll using for an electrostatic copying machine, an easily magnetizable shaft of magnetic material is made to orientate in the direction of magnetic flux passing through between the magnetizing poles inside of the roll. CONSTITUTION:When manufacturing a magnetic roll of polymercompound including plurality of electromagnet 13 as magnetizing poles, the magnetic roll 9, the molds 7 of nonmagnetic body 11 and the magnetic bodies 12 are constituted with an insert shaft or core pin 8 en bloc. Said en bloc molded magnetic roll is mulled with a mixture of magnetic material and polymer compound and when the mulled material is made to be roll-shaped while being pressed, a magnetic field corresponding to the magnetizing pattern is impressed from outside for manufacturing. In this way the precision in size is hightend, while being magneticaly homogenized to make a roll with little demagnetization.
