Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize a repetitive printing of the same sentence as well as an easy alteration of the format, by securing a designation on left and right margins of a typewriter with memory and at the same time designating whether the designated margins should be stored in the memory. CONSTITUTION:The keys (1) and (2), which alters the left margin position but does not store the left margin into the memory and which alters and stores the left margin position respectively, are provided as the means that alter the left and right margin positions of a typewriter with memory and then designate whether the alteration should be stored into the memory. The left and right margin positions 1 and 2 are set first, and then the original is typewritten in the normal way up to the m-1st line. Then the print head is moved up to the position 3 before typing the m-th line, and the key (2) is pushed to typewrite from the m-th line 4 through the n-th line 5. Then a command is given to return the margin position to the position set first before typing the n+1st line, and then the typing is given again. These operations are stored in the memory to secure an automatic typewriting when the reproduction is desired.
