Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure a monitor for an unmanned computer system with a low cost, by applying an automatic polling to each unmanned computer with an automatic dialing given from a monitor device in an unmanned computer system and thus obtaining a state information of the computer. CONSTITUTION:Both the polling request signal and the address are sent to the automatic dialing circuit 64 based on the intervals set by the polling scheduling circuit 62 of the system monitor device 33. Thus the circuit 64 sets up a data link to the corresponding unmanned computer 31 and transmits the state information request signal. The computer 31 starts the state information producing circuit 42 through the automatic dialing answer circuit 43 and thus obtains the fault occurrence signals A and B plus the fault factor information 48 from the central processor 41 to produce a state information. This information is transmitted by giving a transmission request to the transmission circuit 44, and thus the data link is cut off. The state information sent from the computer 31 is decoded by the state information decoding circuit 63 of the monitor device 33 to detect an abnormal state. This abnormal state is informed to the operator by driving the alarm 61.
