Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure an effective elimination of the multipath component, by obtaining the multipath distortion component in terms of circuit and then subtracting this distortion component from the demodulated output. CONSTITUTION:The synthetic wave signal composed of the FM direct wave signal and its reflected wave signal is supplied to the square wave detection circuit 12 functioning as an AM wave detection circuit. The output of the circuit 12 is supplied to the differentiating circuit 17 and the cosine-sine converting circuit 36 via the AC component extracting circuit 12. An operation is given to the outputs of the circuits 12, 17 and 36 as well as to the DC component of the output of the circuit 12 to obtain the multipath distortion component. This component is then applied to the synthesizing circuit 11 together with the FM demodulated output. Thus the multipath distortion component is eliminated out of the FM demodulated output.
