PURPOSE:To decrease recording and reading errors of the case when skew is caused by extending binary codes in their lengthwise direction to plural times to increase their redundancy thereby recording these, in a data recording system of performing recording of a single color. CONSTITUTION:Three kinds of codes 0, 1, 2 are assigned successively to alphabet figures, and further, hexadecimal bit patterns are corresponded to each of the codes 0, 1, 2. Hence, at the time of recording the hexadecimal bit patterns assigned to the respective alphabet figures, they are recorded superposedly plural times according to need. Then, the recording and reading errors of the case when skew is produced are decreased.
