Abstract

PURPOSE: To cool dust without excessive presence of gas in a circulation path and without need for fresh inert gas, by combining gas which has been heated to high temperature by heat exchanging with dust, with a high-temperature gas in a circulation path and recovering heat in a heat exchanger.
CONSTITUTION: A high-temperature inert gas used for cooling red-heated coke in a cooling bunker 1 and exhaused from the cooling bunker 1 is passed through an exhaust duct 5 to a heat exchanger 6, cooled therein and reblown from a gas distributor 4 through a gas blower 8 into the cooling bunker 1. Coarse dust flowing through the exhaust duct 5 together with the high-temperature gas is dropped into a hopper 12 by the action of the baffle plate 11 in a coarse particle separator 10, and accumulates in a high-temperature dust discharge device 13. The accumulated high-temperature dust is cooled by a cooling gas introduced to the discharge device 13 from a conduit 7 through an introduction conduit 20, and discharged in a cooled state from a discharge valve 14. Because the dust is discharged in a cooled state, it can be handled easily.
