Abstract

PURPOSE:To have a color picture transferred or reproduced with one printing process by having multiple colored threadlike materials, on which heat-sublimation dyes were applied, run in parallel and by sublimating the dyes controlling the heat source in accordance with picture element information. CONSTITUTION:Numerous threads are divided into three equal parts and they are dyed by immersing them into the three kinds of heat-sublimation dyes of cyanogen C, magenta M and yellow Y in te three primary colors and they are dried at a temperature lower than the sublimation temperature. The said three kinds of dyed threads are placed in a line, they are sent to a heat-sensitive head 3 having a groove on the resistor located betweem electrodes via a corna discharging electrification device 6 and are induced in parallel by the groove. A control signal, in accordance with the picture element information of letters, pictures etc., is given to the heat- sensitive head 3 and a heat-sublimation dyes 19 is heated above the sublimation temperature intermittently and instantaneously each time, thereby allowig to have the color picture, in acordance with the picture element information by three-color dots, printed on a recording paper 15.
