Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate modulating components owing to temp. distributions and stably detect Karman's vortex street at low velocities of flow, by providing means of uniformalizing the uneven temperatures of a suction gas on the upper stream of a vortex street generating column. CONSTITUTION:In case a temp. distribution is produced in the suction gas 9 flowed into an air cleaner 11, or in case a temperature difference exists between the suction gas 9 and the air cleaner 11 or conduit 1, and a temp. distribution is produced in the gas flow 9, the gas is stirred by an axial flow fan 8 and is regulated of flow by a flow regulator 10, by which it is made into the air flow having no uneven temperatures. Hence, the temp. of the Karman's vortex streets 3 formed in the after- flow of a vortex street generating column 2 is kept constant without depending upon places and therefore only the modulating components of the Karman's vortex streets 3 is detected 7 by ultrasonic waves 6. it is equally well to use heat exchange fins in place of the axial flow fan 8.
