Abstract

PURPOSE:A cosmetic material useful as a red coloring pigment having prepared color tone of yellow, obtained by adsorbing Rhodamine B and a polyvalent metal ion on clay minerals having cation exchange ability using a water-soluble high polymer with no problem at all with respect to the safety to the skin as a treatment. CONSTITUTION:A water-soluble high polymer is used as a treatment, and Rhodamine B and a polyvalent ion of metal, e.g., calcium, barium, zinc, etc. are adsorbed on clay minerals having cation exchange ability, e.g., montmorilonite, pectolite, ziolite, preferably synthetic Labonite of white powder, to give red coloring pigment with prepared color tone of yellow. The water-soluble high polymer may be natural or synthetic, for example, animal high polymer such as gelatin, casein, etc., vegetable high polymer such as starch, etc., vinyl high polymer such as polyacrylic acid derivative, etc. are cited, and an amount of the water-soluble high polymer is properly 1-50wt% based on caly minerals.
