Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to modify the pressure welding machine into a simple and portable one so that friction pressure welding may be made possible to the existing structure, by installing a base which can be fixed on the component on which pressure welding is to be made, and by arranging that the feeding device of spindle table can be fixed at any place by means of a cam. CONSTITUTION:Base 1 is fixed on the surface of structure on which pressure welding is to be made, by means of electromagnetic, etc. Working piece W of pressure welding component is supported with chuck 9 and feeding device 12 is advanced toward base 1 and working piece W is attached to the pressure welding component. Then, when friction heat generation is initiated by the rotation of spindle 7, cam 23 is rotated and spindle table 5 is pressed along the reverse direction of feeding device 12 at the peripheral surface of cam, in which the radius of cam increases. With such structure, spindle table 5 moves toward base 1, and an axial thrust is applied to working piece W and the pressure welding object, and thus friction heat generation is performed. While the radius of cam 23 is arranged, up-set for secondary working is performed.
