Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to reduce considerably the number of comparator corresponding to the resistor group to be used to obtain similar accuracy as conventional one has, by inputting a stair step signal into the 1st reference power source terminal and inputting another stair step signal into the 2nd reference power source terminal. CONSTITUTION:Terminal A, circuit B and signal line C represent the analog input signal impressed terminal, sample hold circuit, and signal line to which sample held analog input signal is transmitted, respectively. This signal is input into comparator group F and then becomes one side signal of the differential type comparator, respectively. Moreover, terminals D1 and D2 are the power source terminals to be used for comparison, and each of them is connected both ends of resistor group E, respectively. A stair step signal of 0.5-2V is input into terminal D1 and a similar signal of 0.1-1.5V having a constant difference of 0.5V against the former signal is input into terminal D2. By this, to obtain a similar accuracy as conventional one has, the number of comparator corresponding to the resistor group can be reduced considerably.
