Abstract
PURPOSE: To achieve lubrication and sealing by sucking a lubricant onto a bearing section from an oil sump under a negative pressure through a small hole between an annular groove located between a rotating shaft and the bearing and a central hole with passage of a high pressure refrigerant gas through the central hole of the rotating shaft.
CONSTITUTION: Annular grooves 15 and 16 are cut on the inner periphery of bearing sections 5 and 6 for a rotating shaft 4 so as to be communicated to a central hole 10 on the rotating shaft 4 through small holes 17 and 18. The pressure in the annular grooves 15 and 16 is negative due to an ejector effect of a high pressure refrigerant gas through small holes 17 and 18 when flowing forward through the central port 10 at a high rate from a cylinder 8 of a compressor. The negative pressure allows oil to be sucked from an oil sump 12 through small oil supply holes 13 and 14 between the outer and inner surfaces of a bearing located before and after the grooves 15 and 16 communicated thereto. This enables the lubrication in the bearing of the rotating shaft 4 and sealing between the cylinder 8 and a rotor 7.
