The larger granules are taken out as the product, and the under-sized granules are returned to the jet layer. In the above procedure, a plurality of jet granulation towers 1W5 are used as the jet granulation tower to carry out the multi- stage granulation, the first-stage granulator 1 is supplied with seed urea which becomes the core of the granule, and the other granulators 2-5 are supplied with undersized granules obtained by the classification with the classifier 9. Since the size of the granule increases gradually, the obtained granular urea has a smooth surface and uniform diameter, and consequently, the coating for the control of dissolution can be facilitated.
