Abstract

PURPOSE: To avoid heating during unstable-operation period of a gas sensor and provide stable heating operation by a method wherein a heat source is energized after a predetermined time period required for the gas sensor to get stable operation has passed after the closing of a cooking switch.
CONSTITUTION: With food placed in an oven 2, a door closed, and a door switch 29 as well as a cooking switch 30 turned on, an AC power souce 27 is immediately connected with a detection circuit 26. The voltage on a compared-voltage input terminal 21 of a second comparator 18 in the circuit 26 gradually increases beyond the time constant of a charging circuit. The output of a first comparator 10 is at high level after the closing of the switch 30; the output of the second comparator 18 remains at low level during the time period T0 required for the charging voltage of a capacitor 20 to accord with a reference voltage. Therefore, a switching transistor 16 is energized when the time period T0 has passed and a gas sensor 7 gets a stable operation condition, to close a relay contact 28 for driving a heating device 4.
