Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to operate a gas separating plant continuously for a long time at a constant collection efficiency, by increasing gas press. by means of orifices installed at the tail opening and the product opening of a final separating element.
CONSTITUTION: The gas to be separated is supplied through a feed opening F, then it is divided into a light gas and a heavy gas, the former reaching a final separating element 8P for product portion and the latter reaching a final separating element 8T for tail portion. The release of the light gas and the heavy gas having reached respectively the final product-separating element 8P and the final tail-separating element 8T are controlled by orifices 4W7, so that both the gases pressurized by the orifices arrive respectively at a product cold trap 2 and a tail cold trap 3 as they are pressurized. Hereby the light gas and the heavy gas having arrived at the traps 2, 3 are cooled and transformer respectively into liquid phase or solid phase, which are stored in storage vessels.
