Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve quality and reliability as well as to prevent graphite membrane from being peeled off in such a way that a getter substance vessel may not contact the graphite membrane by arranging on one straight line with use of the getter substance vessel and an adjuvant metal substance composed of key structure.

CONSTITUTION: Respective weldings are done for an adjuvant metal substance 50 on the side of a getter substance vessel 30, and for an adjuvant metal substance 51 on the side of an electron gun 11, one side is made to be a key structure. These metal substances 50, 51 have two functions, which draw up the metal substance 50 near to the metal substance 51 with use of resilience of a spring material 31, the vessel 30 is drawn up to the center line 52 of the electron gun 11, in concurrence of composing them to be a key structure by the metal substances 50, 51 with fixing a lower part contact 53 with use of organic bonding agent 54 which can be decomposed and removed easily by heat treatment in the exhaust process, the electron gun assembly is made not to contact graphite membrane at the time of being forcibly pressed into the bulb neck part. This facilitates to insert the electron gun, and to obtain a cathode ray tube which is excellent in the quality and reliability.
