Abstract

PURPOSE: To automatically control and supply the welding current suited for the rate of wear of a tip and welding conditions by beforehand inputting the rate of wear of the welding tip and the welding conditions of the welding materials in correspondence to this in spot welding into arithmetic circuits.
CONSTITUTION: The step-up control of spot welding current is performed in correspondence to a welding times count times and this welding times counter circuit is so constituted as to be controlled with a weight operating circuit. More specifically, the various welding conditions of the welding materials and the rate of wear of the welding tip based on experimental values are beforehand stored in this weight operating circuit and is so constituted that the stepping of the welding times counting is operated and controlled in correspondence to the rate of wear of the welding tip. The welding counter circuit sends the command for supplying welding current corresponding to its welding times to a current step-up control circuit. This control circuit controls the ignition phase of an SCR contactor through the ignition phase control circuit to be matched to the command from the foregoing welding times counter circuit, whereby the welding current is controlled.
