Abstract

PURPOSE: To correct a color error due to a color mixture between adjacent elements by bonding a mosaic color filter to a pickup element of a charge transfer type and then by obtaining a color signal by making use of vertical correlation.
CONSTITUTION: As for the each-scanning-line signal of pickup element 1, a CY signal is outputted to bus line 12 while alternate R and G signals are outputted to bus line 11, and a luminance signal is generated by adder 15 through pre-amplifiers 13 and 14, so that LPF16 will remove unneeded components. A color signal component, on the other hand, is band-limited by LPFs17 and 18. Then, the CY signal having passed through LPF17 is led to subtracter 23 and R and G signals from LPF18 are passed through a 1H delay line to exercise control by gain control circuit 20 so that as scanning lines increase, the gain will also increase. Gain control circuit 21 exercises control by removing the mixed components of the R and B signals so that the gain will be constant. The R and G signals with the mixed components removed by subtracter circuit 22 are processed by subtracter 23 together with the CY signal to obtain color difference signals R-CY and G-CY. Next, switches 25 and 26 alternate between a signal having passed through delay line 24 and a direct signal at every 1H and they are processed 27 together with the luminance signal of LPF16.
